Food & Shelter

Food & Shelter

It is estimated more than 50 Million people may experience food insecurity this year - including 17 Million children due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Food banks & pantries across the country are seeing a 60% increase in the number of people seeking help from this time last year - millions are in need of assistance for the very first time.

Friends Vote Together in partnership with Go High Signs believes in the power of community, serving and helping our neighbors. The Food & Shelter bags were designed to provide support to those in our communities that need us right now. The message printed on the bags, “don’t worry, I will give you lots of food and shelter” was painted by 8 year old Maddie in New Jersey. It is a message that inspires us and we hope inspires you too.

100% net proceeds from the purchase of these bags will be donated to Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization working with food banks & pantries and food partners serving communities across the U.S.

While the proceeds of these bags will financially provide an opportunity for thousands of Americans, we hope you will carry this bag as a symbol of coming together, supporting each other and carrying each other through these challenging times. We believe that knowledge is power and conversations move us forward. We hope this bag will be a catalyst for conversations with friends, family and our communities on food insecurity in our own backyards.

Friends Vote Together and Go High Signs is giggling with excitement over our partnership. This is the byproduct of a long labor of love and joy of two women (and friends) who have committed their lives and their work to building and creating a more just and equitable place to live (on this little ‘ole place we call home - planet earth!). We are thrilled to be sharing our labor of love with you!
