VACCINE RESOURCES

Resources & Volunteer Opportunities

The following information and resources have not been endorsed by or affiliated with vaccine providers, pharmacies, hospitals, government agencies, political organizations or other organizations included and outlined below. We understand efforts to secure a vaccine appointment have been frustrating, challenging, inequitable and confusing. While we cannot directly change the systems and processes in place, we can help those in need - friends, family, neighbors, older folks and those in disenfranchised communities.

We are volunteers and have crowdsourced the following information from various resources and our own volunteer efforts in helping others and securing vaccine appointments for folks across the country. The tips and tricks and best practices we are sharing are things that worked for us and we have heard worked for other volunteers in various states. These are not the only ways to secure appointments, but these are tips and best practices that did work for us.

Our hope in providing this information is that it will be helpful to you in securing your own appointments and in helping others. Our request is that as we are providing these resources and information to you, you will pay it forward and pass along to others in need or sign up to volunteer if you are able.

We are so close to hugging each other again. We are so close to putting the worst of this pandemic behind us. But, in order to do that we must continue to mask up, stay socially distanced, get vaccinated and protect those that are still vulnerable. Together, we can do this, friends.

We will do our best to update the information provided below frequently, but also welcome you to follow us on Instagram for timely and more up-to-date and up-to-the-minute resources and information - @friendsvotetogether.

Gratefully,
Your Friends at Friends Vote Together

Tips, Tricks & Best Practices:

Having booked appointments for folks across 10+ states, the google doc below includes best practices, tips and tricks that we have sourced and/or used through our volunteering/booking. These are not necessarily going to work across every state (but we have found they do work across many) and as rollout continues - websites may change their process/sign-up process. This includes what we have learned and used as well as aggregated resources, tips, and tricks from other volunteers we have communicated and worked with.

Aggregator Vaccine Search Resources:

State by State Resources:

Sorted by state or county/city. These are crowdsource, mutual aid and community organization resources that we have used/found helpful in scheduling appointments. If you have additional resources you would like to send us - please send us an email and we will add to the list.

Transportation Resources:

Multiple organizations as well as city/county officials are providing transportation to and from vaccine appointments.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The greatest thing you can do (in addition to getting vaccinated) is to help those that are struggling to get an appointment, live in a rural or disenfranchised community with access restrictions, folks that do not have access to technology resources or transportation. We are seeing the power of community, of friends and neighbors, of vaccine angels come together across the country to be the helpers. Whether you have 1 hour a week, the financial resources to help these mutual aid, grassroots and volunteer groups, can provide infrastructure design or technical help, transportation or on the ground assistance - we encourage you to please be a helper. Below are several opportunities in need of volunteers and/or financial support. Many of these groups are run by volunteers & mutual aid organizations that are building, calling, doing all because they care. We will continue to update this section as more volunteer resources become available. If you know of additional volunteer resources and would like us to include, please send us an email with the information. Please also continue to follow us on Instagram and check our “Vaccine” Highlights for more up to the minute and critical need volunteer opportunties.
